I’m just gonna get straight to the point.
I hate the gym.
I hate cardio, I hate aerobics, I hate that I’m the only one in Zumba that looks like I’m having a grand mal seizure. I hate having to shower immediately after in fear of catching leprosy or something funky.
So yeah. I recently started up with the gym again and I’m having a helluva time. I know I need to be there so I put in the time, but damn. I’d much rather be shoveling this cheesecake in my face while binge-watching Orange in my pajamas.
…not that I do that or anything. Dontjudgeme.
But I’ll get straight to the point on this cheesecake: it’s the bomb. There’s a couple of qualifiers for you to check off in order to like this cheesecake.
1) You’re human
2) You like dessert
3) You like peanut butter cups in and around your mouth
4) You’re all of the above
This was originally going to be a Nutella cheesecake, but I spotted a jar of the Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Spread in the back of my pantry and knew I had to use that instead. It’s like Nutella but with a peanut buttery twist. And it’s oh so delicious in this cheesecake!
Creamy, rich, peanut buttery, thick and delicious, you’ll go nuts for this cheesecake. But you *may* want to make a date with the gym afterwards.

No Bake Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake
Ingredients
- 1 jar Reese's Chocolate Peanut Butter Spread
- 2 (8 oz each) pkgs cream cheese softened
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 prepared Oreo chocolate cookie crust
- 1 bag Reese's Peanut Butter Minis roughly chopped
Instructions
- In a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed, beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add in the Reese's spread and blend until smooth. Blend in the heavy cream and beat until it has a mousse-like texture.
- Spread the mixture carefully into the prepared cookie crust. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, garnish the pie with the chopped Reese's cups. Cut into slices and serve!
I promise, the 8 hr. chill time is worth the wait! This dreamy pie tastes just like the inside of a peanut butter cup: smooth, creamy, thick and totally, utterly scrumptious. You’ll love it!
Have a super sweet day!

June @ How to Philosophize with Cake says
LOL I can see how the gym might be needed after this! Or at least a quick jog around the block, because that looks so rich and amazing… 🙂
thedomesticrebel says
I can do the jog around the block if it means getting another piece!
Shelby @ Go Eat and Repeat says
The gym can be horrible! I personally hate to sweat. I just feel so gross then I have to change and shower in the middle of the day! It is just too inconvenient for me! I think instead I’ll make pie =)
thedomesticrebel says
Right?! That’s why I loathe it so much – I’m a night showerer. I don’t want to do it in the middle of the day, and I don’t want to wait until nighttime either. Gah!
Kayle (The Cooking Actress) says
gym=boo
cake=YAY!
thedomesticrebel says
Yay!
Erin @ Miss Scrambled Egg says
I used to hate exercising, too. It’s hard to enjoy sweating, pain, and sometimes, fatigue. Keep up the hard work, girl. Some types of cardio can be enjoyable. Zumbas definitely not for me, but I like spin class. It makes me feel less guilty when I dive into this cheesecake afterward. 😉
thedomesticrebel says
I have to try spin!
Dorothy @ Crazy for Crust says
That spread is the best. And let’s workout together sometime!
thedomesticrebel says
Yes! We have to!
Jess @ Sweetest Menu says

Thanks so much Jess!
Kelly - Life Made Sweeter says
I would much rather have a slice of this cheesecake than go to the gym too! It look so rich, creamy and delicious! Love that you used the chocolate peanut butter spread!
thedomesticrebel says
Thanks Kelly – that spread is the bomb!
Liz says
If you can DO Zumba, you’re way ahead of me!!! But I guess I’d go embarrass myself so I could justify shoveling in a few slices of this sublime cheesecake!!!
thedomesticrebel says
Haha, thanks Liz!
CakeSpy says
I probably don’t need to tell you that I love you again…but you know, it’s true.
Julie @ Julie's Eats & Treats says
Ahhh the lovely debate of I should exercise but it sucks. Plain and simple! Instead I’d rather just eat a whole pan of this deliciousness. Is that wrong? I think not!
thedomesticrebel says
Nope, totally not wrong!
Lauren says
What do you do with the mini chips?
thedomesticrebel says
Hey Lauren, there are no mini chips in this recipe, only mini Reese’s cups, which you use to garnish the top of the cheesecake 🙂
Lauren says
Haha haha okay I feel like I ding dong. Cheese in mixer now:)
Lauren says
I made it today. I did a layer of cups on bottom then the fillling. Then let freeze a few hours. Made a whipped topping for edges. Cups all over top. Then melted chocolate chips and peanut butter chips (separately) and drizzled over everything.
thedomesticrebel says
Sounds AMAZING Lauren!!
Jeff says
How much Spread?
thedomesticrebel says
Hi Jeff, one jar is about 11-13 oz… don’t have the exact amount on hand, but it’s the same size bottle as the small jar of Nutella. Hope that helps!
Rocky says
Question.. are there any alternatives for the Reese’s chocolate peanut butter spread? I cannot find it in any stores or online to be ordered.
thedomesticrebel says
Hi Rocky! You could use half creamy peanut butter and half Nutella spread instead!
Jeff says
It dose thank you. Your recipe is yummy.
thedomesticrebel says
Thanks a bunch, Jeff! 🙂 Have a great day!
