Tastes wonderful! I added lime zest to the turbinado sugar used as a glass press. I baked half recipe in convection oven at 325 and half on regular oven setting of 350. Both setting required about 5 min or more of baking(probably because I used HEAPING tablespoons of dough!)

I finished half with powdered sugar and half with a glaze from lime juice and zest.

They are definitely a shortbread style cookie in taste and texture.
and are crumbly, but do stack in a container without falling into pieces.

I made these like the recipe said but I didn’t get very good results. Have you tried using a binder like egg with this? Just curious as mine are crumbling into bits and have rather a mealy texture.

O.k., I made these cookies using lemon instead of lime. I thought they tasted a little too much like flour. Put lemon/10X/corn syrup stripes on them, added a raspberry and sprinkled on some 10X. I thought at least they should look good. Deleted the recipe from my favourites. Went to put them on a plate and one broke. So of course I had to eat it. They are really delicate. Well, the sitting around for a couple of hours really brought the taste out! Scrounged around to find the recipe, it's a keeper! Just gotta give it time to settle in I guess:) And, maybe Julie needed to add a bit more flour to stiffen up the dough. Thanks for the recipe. And, since you're talking dolls, my daughter had a Patty Pitter Patter. You pulled a string and she said a lot of things like "What's your name and how are you?"

Julie - I'm so sorry this recipe didn't work for you. The 1/2 cup of cornstarch is correct, but I will look into the recipe to make sure I didn't miswrite it.

i tried this recipe and it did not work out for me. My cookies crumbled like sand. Was wondering if the 1/2 cup cornstarch is correct or if I did something wrong? Thanks!
