Ingredients

  • 1 cup Krusteaz Buttermilk Protein Flapjack & Waffle Mix
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups thinly sliced peeled and cored apples of your choice (I used Gala)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Liberally grease an 8x8" cake pan. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine the flapjack mix, egg, melted butter, milk, sugar, and spices with a whisk until smooth. Batter will be thin. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, toss together the sliced apples and the brown sugar until coated. Sprinkle the apple and sugar mixture evenly over the top of the batter in the pan.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown and set. Cool for about 15-20 minutes before serving. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
