- 1 cup Krusteaz Buttermilk Protein Flapjack & Waffle Mix
- 1/4 cup butter melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 cups thinly sliced peeled and cored apples of your choice (I used Gala)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Liberally grease an 8x8" cake pan. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the flapjack mix, egg, melted butter, milk, sugar, and spices with a whisk until smooth. Batter will be thin. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, toss together the sliced apples and the brown sugar until coated. Sprinkle the apple and sugar mixture evenly over the top of the batter in the pan.
Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown and set. Cool for about 15-20 minutes before serving. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
