Hi Molly, sometimes that can happen if your apples are extra juicy and they leak out more moisture during baking. You can always blind bake your crust for a little bit before adding the apples. Maybe for like 5-10 minutes to crisp it up some before adding the filling.

This recipe was so delicious but my pie crust on the bottom ended up very squishy, anyway to fix this??? I drained all the liquid from the apples too.

I made this pie shortly after Thanksgiving and oh man it was delicious! I’m very picky about my apple pie and this pie was one of the best apple pies I’ve made in my 40 something years?
