Hi Karen, sorry for the delay. Yes, you can heat treat any type of cake or brownie mix or raw flour the same and it should work. The only one that wouldn’t work was if you purchased a brownie mix that had chocolate chips in it. Then it would be a melty mess.

I will be making this for my neighbor’s children so I appreciated your suggestions on making the flour “safer”. If it were just I eating this treat, I would not be the least bit concerned, but because there are children involved, I feel confident about the flour ingredient.
Would your instructions also apply toward making raw brownie mix “safer” ( the microwave method)?
