Hey everyone! Happy May!
Hope you’re having a great springy month so far!
Ours started warm and mild but quickly turned into winter 2.0 with lots of overcast days, tons of rain and some thunder, and chilly temps. We’re still in the throes of winter 2.0 so I can’t say for sure when the sun will come back out… but to be honest, I’m kinda loving the overcast weather so late in the springtime! Sacramento gets way too hot in the summer, so any weather that prolongs that sweaty heat is good in my book 🙂
This month wasn’t very exciting, actually! My mom had her birthday on the 9th and we went out to our favorite Chinese restaurant, Frank Fats. It’s legendary here in Sacramento and they have the most amazing honey walnut prawns I’ve ever tasted! In fact, the picture here is the actual fortune I received there. Pretty funny, seeing as I have three cookbooks!
Anyway, let’s get to some links I’m loving this month! As always, if you have a link to a product/recipe/whatever you want to drop, do so in the comments!
This is screaming my name!
As are these!
I absolutely love chia pudding, so these parfaits look awesome!
Just picked up these adorable pillows – one in pink and turquoise – for my mid-century-inspired living room!
I have a strong feeling I’m going to live in this dress all summer.
I have been wearing this liquid eye shadow lately and love it! I love the Aurora shade.
And speaking of rainbows, my heart is set on this beauty!
Oh and these! Soooo cute.
When it comes to books, I just finished this. It was fascinating, funny and all-around incredible. HIGHLY recommend!
And I promptly bought her other books…
This one I’m reading now – intriguing topics such as how we taste things, if we could eat ourselves to death, etc.
And I’m reading this next…
And this one after that. Normally I’m not big into war subjects but this focuses on more of the macabre than an actual war story.
However, I may take a break from my science reading for this new novel which looks terrifying and intriguing…
This memoir also looks real, raw, and interesting.
I am in love!!
A color-changing cocktail? Sign me up!
Rebecca made banana pudding from our cruise! YUM.
I am going to serve this up all summer long!
And how good do these look?!
And last but not least, every month I do a “splurge” item that I’d totally buy if I had extra $$ to spend… and this month it’s this electric kettle! I love how retro it looks (perfect for my vintage/mid-century decorated house!) and I LOVE the pink color! I use an electric kettle daily to make my instant coffee (ha!) and this would be a stylish upgrade from my basic-looking one.
Hope you guys have an amazing weekend!
