Happy March, everyone!
As I’m writing this, we’re in the throes of Mercury Retrograde and communication is on the fritz. Facebook and Instagram are down and bloggers everywhere are losing their shit. While Facebook and Instagram are two of my highest drivers of traffic, I’m usually not too worried when it’s down because it usually gets fixed eventually, AND because I kind of enjoy being able to not focus entirely on social media. Sometimes it can feel like a blessing in disguise; a nice reprieve from constantly checking notifications.
What’s been happening with you guys in the month of March? I found out I’m going on a Caribbean cruise at the end of the month on behalf of Princess Cruises and I couldn’t be more excited. I haven’t been to the Caribbean since 2015 on another vacation and I cannot wait to explore new islands. I went to the Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Maarten before, and this cruise we’re doing Bahamas (although a different part), Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Grand Turk! On my agenda I have swimming with dolphins and sting rays, taking a glass-bottom boat ride throughout the crystal clear waters, and possibly touring the Bacardi factory! Can’t wait!
Although there’s still some rain and a definite chill in the air, it’s finally starting to feel like spring here in Sacramento… although I have still been wearing tights and cardigans with my dresses. It’s hard to imagine I’ll have to pack swimwear and shorts for the Caribbean when it’s still high 60s here, but I know it’ll be toasty down there.
Otherwise, I’m just working away trying to prepare for my cruise and post lots of brand new spring content for you guys! If you have any recipe suggestions of things you’d like to see here on the blog, leave me a comment below!
Now let’s get to links I’m loving!
Taking this with me because it’s so comfortable, colorful and cute! I have the green one!
Going to live in this skirt all spring!
Dreaming of this spring on a plate!
Can’t wait to try!
Excited for picnic season and for this staple!
So fresh for spring and smells amazing.
So I don’t need it, but I’m kinda dying for it!
Speaking of dying (lol) I’m back to reading morbid books and this one sounds very interesting! A side we never usually see.
This also looks intriguing!
But I’m definitely bringing this to the beach! I’ve read it before but it’s such a perfect, hilarious beach read!
Lately I cannot get enough of these apple chips! They’re so tasty (and they’re the kind Panera Bread uses on their Fuji apple salad!)
Also these! I’m bringing a bag for the cruise!
I also can’t get enough shrimp, and this recipe looks fantastic!
Obsessed with a capital-O!
And for my monthly “splurge”, I actually did splurge on this camera for my trip. My normal camera is a huge and chunky DSLR with a massive lens, so I didn’t want to bring it to the beach and lug it around. This is more compact, takes AMAZING photos and is perfect for the novice, hobbyist or pro! Plus it’s super lightweight. Will report back with photos from my trip!
That’s it for this month’s favorites! I’ll catch ya back next week with some new recipes + next month with another Rebel Favorites! If you have something you’re loving, be sure to leave it in the comments!
Have a super sweet weekend!
