I’m so excited to bring you this recipe today!
This White Chocolate Marshmallow Dip is incredible. I mean, it is out. of. this. world and into a whole new universe of awesomeness. Like, I literally don’t know if the Milky Way Galaxy can even handle this dessert, y’all.
It’s that good.
And it comes from my dear friend Melissa’s brand new cookbook, Melissa’s Southern Cookbook.
If you know me, you know I’m a Californian (and wannabe New Yorker) through and through. But my FAVORITE cuisine has to be Southern food. Hush puppies, biscuits & gravy, gumbo… it’s all gravy in my book, baby. I live for an amazingly crispy fried chicken or a killer banana pudding parfait. And this book has it all!!
First, you’ll be drawn to the gorgeous color photos of her recipes. Everything from Homemade Pimiento Cheese to Country Sausage and Grits Casserole, to Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Sweet Tomato-Glazed Meatloaf. And of course, my favorite chapter: the desserts! Lemon Sour Cream Pound Cake, Mississippi Mud Brownies, and last but not least, this White Chocolate Marshmallow Fruit Dip.
While this dip tastes amazing with fresh fruit, I also love it for cubed pound cake, brownie bites, even as a “sauce” for ice cream sundaes! You could also blend this dip mixture into an incredible milkshake or top a slice of apple or peach pie with it. OH MY GOODNESS.
But I like it just the way it is: as a wonderfully creamy, ultra dreamy, fluffy and smooth dip for fruit and pound cake. Simple, delicious, and perfect for summer get-togethers, backyard BBQs and potlucks. Everyone will be crowding this dish for sure!

Kathy, this dip is SO amazing with fruit! Enjoy!
Forida says
Hi Hayley, white chocolate is my absolute favourite and it sounds great as a dip. Can I ask, is this dip thick enough to use as cake frosting?
Will be sure to try out this yummy recipe soon, Thanks
thedomesticrebel says
Hi Forida! This dip is very thick, but I think it would fall/drip off the sides of the cake. Perhaps if you spooned and spread it on the very top layer, that would work!
Sandra says
Can this fluff be used as cake frosting?, I can’t wait to make it!, thank you for sharing.
Sandra says
Can this also be used in cakes or cup cakes as frosting?, it looks great I can’t wait to make it!, thank you for sharing!
thedomesticrebel says
Hi Sandra! It’d be a very thick frosting and wouldn’t pipe like a traditional frosting, but for a quick little spread it should work!
Catherine says
This will be perfect for my strawberry and pound cake kabobso. Can I make this a day ahead?
thedomesticrebel says
Yes you may!
Julie coulson says
Where can i buy marshmallow fluff?
thedomesticrebel says
Hi Julie, it’s found on the baking aisle near the marshmallows at most grocery stores.
Emri says
Does it store well? If so how do you store it?
thedomesticrebel says
Hi Emri! Just keep it covered in the fridge, up to 2 days I’d say!
Dianna Thompson says
Sounds soooo good! Will be trying this with our Sunday school brunch tomorrow! Thank you.
Kristen says
Could you use it for a filling for cupcakes ?
thedomesticrebel says
Hi Kristen, that would be fantastic! It’s just thick enough that it should work. But it isn’t thick or stable enough as a frosting, FYI.
Cindy Hawes says
About how many cups does this make
thedomesticrebel says
Hi Cindy, about 2.5-3 cups or so from what I remember.
