Cookie Dough Milkshake + Ninja Mega Kitchen System GIVEAWAY!

cookiedoughninjaWhen I went to BlogHer Food last month in Austin, I fell in love.

I didn’t expect to, but per the usual antics of love, it happens when you least expect it.  I couldn’t help that my heart swelled at first sight, and I didn’t stop to think that this was crazy or silly or that I should get out while I’m ahead.  Instead, I fell head over heels and gave myself to the concept that this love could and would last.. long-distance or not.  I was willing to make it work — love is about compromise and sacrifice, right?

I spent as much time as I could with my love while in Austin, and thought about what life would be like after I’d returned home to the daily grind.  Would I ever see my love again?  Would I ever experience a love as great as this?  I seriously doubted anything as incredible as my love could be replicated by anything else, except for maybe Ryan Gosling, but that was besides the point.  So you can imagine my utter heartbreak when I left Austin.. and was forced to leave my love behind.

I had seriously underestimated love’s magical powers, because a couple weeks later, I was at home when the doorbell rang.  I opened it, not expecting much — but received everything I’d ever wanted standing right on my doorstep.  It was my love!  My love had returned for me!  We caught up on old times and immediately bonded over our love of Cookie Dough Milkshakes.  I’ve never met a love who could make such a delicious milkshake — and will never meet another love who will.  I’m committed, y’all, and I won’t stray for nothin’!!

Lucky for you, my love has a twin :) and the twin wants YOU.

If you’ve ever stared longingly into your kitchen and wished you could ditch your dumpy loser of a blender for something sleeker, smarter, multi-taskier, taller, darker and handsomer, then you’ve come to the right blog because I’m your matchmaker, and honey, meet your new love:

The Ninja Mega Kitchen System!!

DSC_1837AThis isn’t your ordinary blender.  The Ninja Mega Kitchen System is a professional, high-powered tool with a sleek design and exemplary performance.  It’s perfect for your frozen blending needs — like crushing ice for frozen drinks or smoothies; it serves as a complete juicing system — taking the work out of blending whole fruits and veggies; it effortlessly minces, chops, grinds and blends a variety of ingredients in its state-of-the-art food processor; and it even has the capability to create pizza dough, bread dough, cookie dough.. even crepe batter!  Plus, it comes with a two single-serve glasses and lids, perfect for on-the-go drinks or single-serving shakes. I’m guessing it does all of this because of ancient Ninja secret powers, or it could be the fact that the machine has 1500 watts.

ninja1My cookie dough literally came together in seconds with just a push of the Dough button.  Lightning fast cookie dough could be dangerous.

DSC_1871AAnd after a quick detachment of the dough bowl, I snapped on the blender and whirred myself into milkshake oblivion.

DSC_1884ADon’t fight it.  You NEED this blender.  I mean, if you think about it, can Ryan Gosling even do all this stuff?  Probably not.

Cookie Dough Milkshake + Ninja Mega Kitchen System GIVEAWAY!
Author:
Recipe type: Frozen Desserts
Prep time:
Total time:
Serves: 2

This milkshake has TRIPLE the dose of cookie dough--ensuring a smooth, cookie-dough-loaded shake!
Ingredients
  • 2 cups (about 4 standard scoops) Cookie Dough ice cream
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • ¼ cup Torani Chocolate Chip Cookie Cough syrup
  • 1 snack-sized package Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Cookie mix, plus ingredients on back of package
  • Whipped cream, if you'd like
Instructions
  1. First, make your dough. Attach the dough bowl attachment to the base. Pour in the cookie mix, plus the ingredients on the back of the package. If you'd rather make your own homemade cookie dough, halve your favorite recipe and substitute 2 Tbsp milk in place of each egg. Press the Dough button for a couple seconds until the dough comes together. Set aside.
  2. Now attach the blender to the base. Add in the ice cream, milk and syrup and blend for a couple seconds or until smooth. Drop heaping Tablespoonfuls of dough into the milkshake mixture--leave some dough in the bowl for garnish--and whir just for a second to lightly incorporate the dough. You want it to have doughy chunks in there!
  3. Pour into two glasses and top with whipped cream, if you'd like, and additional remaining cookie dough bits. Drink immediately!!

DSC_1887AEasy peasy, doughy squeezy.  Please do yourself a favor and put this in your pie hole.

Good luck, and thanks for entering!!

I looked at the Ninja system in Sam’s Club, and I was impressed, and you know everything they sell there is top notch.

It is used to make everything from Green Smoothies to baby formula to chopping nuts to doughs, batters and sauces and I can’t wait to try the cookie dough milkshake. My son’s girlfriend has told her mom that as soon as she gets out on her own, the first think she wants is a Ninja and when asked why, she responds because it eats everything. LOL. Thank you for sharing.

  50. Jennifer says:

MUST MAKE NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, I think I just drooled. I need a ninja so I can join in on the fun!

  80. dough…I had NO idea it could do dough….I’d probably make that first, and then move on to shakes and smoothies and soups. what a great giveaway hayley

  81. Tonette Joyce says:

OMG! That looks too decadent Hayley and I was looking at the Ninja line on QVC…drooling, not ordering! Put me down!

  83. Julie Fitch says:

I would make the Milkshake above first thing!

  84. morning smoothies!

  85. Wow lady. Love this decadent treat that I’d have to copy and make for myself with a Ninja. Then about every other flavor of milkshakes under the sun!

  86. I had no idea what was the big deal about Ninja blenders until I saw one in action a few weeks ago – truly awesome! I’ve never really felt the need to own a standard blender since I own two different sized food processors and a bullet blender. But now I really need a Ninja! I would make lots of smoothies in that thing. And of course this milkshake because it rocks my world.

  87. Well, obviously I would make this ridiculous milkshake because it’s freakin’ awesome. I’d probably also make a bunch of other milkshakes, too. Oh, and probably some herb sauce. And soup. Oh my gosh, and everything!

  88. Thinking I would first make a strawberry milkshake with it.

  89. Whoa! Cookie dough overload! Kinda of want to make a trip to Dairy Queen right now, seeing as how I don’t have a Ninja blender to make this in, but if I DID… I’d make a green smoothie, because my current blender SUCKS at pureeing the frozen bananas. OK, it pretty much sucks at everything. Except slicing my finger tip off (don’t ask).

  90. Any smoothies using ice – my blender sucks at crushing ice or frozen fruit (which shouldn’t be an issue) and it drives me banana sandwich!! Awesome giveaway and even awesomer milkshake. Looks divine :)

  91. Okay, I’d probably make this delicious treat FiRST in the Ninja……

If not, I’d probably make a sweet potato soup! (It’s summer and that still sounds good to me!!)

  92. Shelby H. says:

Let me just start off by saying every recipe you post is right up my alley!!! I love love love it all!!! I just bought all the things to make the cotton candy bars you posted a while ago and I’m sooooo excited! On a different note…winning this blender would be AH-MAZZZZING!!! Only blender I’ve ever had was a hand me down from my mother, that she received when she got married (which was over 35 years ago). Lets just say when she gave me the blender about 7 years ago I was only able to use it about 5 times before it went kaput…and that was the last time I’ve ever had a blender! Long story short I need a blender to make this tasty cookie dough milkshake and plenty of other tasty things :)

  93. Tiffany Best says:

I would love to make this shake and all kinds of other shakes if I won this blender!!

  94. This thing is amazing! I’d definitely whip up some of your milkshakes for my kiddos and gotta have some smoothies for me. Oh, the possibilities…….

  95. My blender always smells like smoke if it goes over a certain speed. Complete nightmare. If I won this fancy schamcy blender, I could blend all sort of things but first on my list would be this cookie dough milkshake. YES!

  96. I’d love a strawberry shake, or maybe that banana softserve everyone raves about!

  97. latanya says:

I would make milkshakes and protein shakes

  98. All kinds of shakes and smoothies :)

  99. jenni willis says:

I would make smoothies and shakes forever!

  100. LOVE this Hayley- I need one right now! When I eventually make it to Sac, I will bring deep fried cookie dough and you provide the cookie dough milkshake and it will be a party! With margaritas on the side, naturally.

  101. Jordan D says:

I would definitely make a gazpacho, hummus, or a unique flavored nut butter with the Ninja. Your recipe sounds so delicious, too! Thanks for the giveaway :)

  102. Hayley, this looks SO amazing, my lord!!!!

I want the Ninja! no shipping to Australia? :( x

  103. I would make smoothies everyday! You have the most AMAZING recipes! Love them all!

  104. Kelley Galyen says:

I would start in my Nutella Pinterest board and keep gping!!

  105. Stacy | Wicked Good Kitchen says:

Oh, girl…I just know the day I land in Austin that I will love it. It seems so me and I still tear up about missing BHF. Would love to have met you! But, this Ninja character? How cool and what a generous giveaway! Love that there is a Ninja-powered blender that won’t break the bank for peeps!

  106. Erika Schlenker says:

I would make protein shakes to not be a fattie…and then I’d make milkshakes and malts because let’s face it, I love me some sugar sugar sweet stuff. Love this! NEED THIS!

  107. Yashica says:

I would make this cookie dough milkshake!!!!

  108. Susan Broughton says:

If I win I would make smoothies with it. I have been wanting to try some for breakfast because I am not a breakfast person and I think that smoothies would be easier to eat for me. So smoothies is what I would make.

  109. Oh gurrrlllllll, I’m coming over. Like now. I am going to make ALL the milkshakes!

  110. The first thing we make would be these cookie dough milkshakes. Cookie dough ice cream is my husband’s favorite.

  111. I too want to have a love affair with this awesome piece of kitchen equipment!!!!! I can think of a hundred things I’d make…but the first would probably be some sort of fruity pina colada smoothie with coconut rum in it! YUMMMMMMM!

  112. Lindsay B says:

That looks amazinggggg. Would love to use this to make protein shakes- frozen banana, almond milk, peanut butter, etc

  113. I LOVE cookie dough and this looks amazing! Thank you for sharing your amazing creations!

  114. Michelle Bowers says:

I would make smoothies for My daughter and I to have at breakfast. We love them in the morning!

  115. Haley, I’m so jealous right now! First off, I want THIS milkshake! It’s over the top, full of everything a milkshake should be! And if I won, I’d have to make milkshakes. I’ve had my poor blender for over 20 years and it’s on it’s deathbed now. I cringe everytime we go to use it, praying it will make the 4 milkshakes required for a happy household.

  116. Id love to win this blender to make yummy margaritas at home!

  117. I am desperate to win this! I am in dire need of a new blender and this is a perfect match.

  118. Theresa Rothweiler says:

Well if I had this right now…I have been a canning fool over the last few days with strawberries and now tomatoes need to be done. So that being said I would be making tomato sauce!

  119. Shawna G says:

I would make a protein smoothy to have before I go to Bootcamp to avoid heart burn! haha

  120. Kristen H says:

I would LOVE this Ninja system to make smoothies and milkshakes — would be so nice to make them in a snap, versus fighting with my current blender, while I’m on chemo treatments.

  121. Karen L. says:

I would make smoothies and the cookie dough milkshake.

  122. I could even get rid of my old blender with the broken plastic handle that pinches every time I use it.

  123. Marcia Snapp says:

I would make smoothies and pestos first thing! I got mad and threw my 25 year old blender in the garbage last month. It never worked that good when it waas new. This Ninja is amazing, I need one! Thanks for the giveaway chance!

  124. Kristin McNeil says:

I would LOVE this blender! I have the oldest, most worthless blender on the planet! (Literally, my grandma gave me her old blender.) I made a double batch of Dirt & Worms Dessert for my 4th of July family gathering and it took me FOREVER to grind my Oreos as my lame blender would only blend 2-3 cookies at a time. I would make salad dressing, spinach smoothies, salsa and grind Oreos with a new blender! :)

  125. Ninja Blender… yes please… Nothing but healthy green shakes in mine … really… NO, REALLY…. ;)

Also… holy holy that shake looks amazing!!! :)

  126. Cynabie says:

I make at least one smoothie a day and have for the past 5 years – it has been my life’s mission to find a blender that will actually “smoothie” all my frozen fruit without me having to start and stop it a bazillion times to mix it back up. Winning this will literally cut 10 minutes off my “getting ready” time in the morning!!!! You know what 10 more minutes of sleep would mean in the morning?????

  127. Hayley, I love your disregard for any thought of excess. Your recipes rock! I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on every one I’ve tried out yet. I know this cookie dough will definitely rank up there with the rest! That blender would be pretty helpful– especially the food processor part. I’ve been chopping stuff like that by hand.

  128. I can smell how hard my blender has to work for my morning smoothie. I would love to replace it with a powerful ninja!!! I would also love one of those shakes right now. Looks sinful.

  129. Denise M says:

    Would loveeee this! :)

  130. DeniseG says:

I’d make pie crust. And soups!! Ohhh the soups– to finally be able to blend a butternut squash. It’s the dream, man.

  131. shakes and soups!

  132. Salsa!!

  133. Stephanie says:

I would definitely make some kind of cookie dough first! mmmm cookies :) and this cookie dough milkshake looks so sinfully delicious!

  134. Stephanie says:

I would make this cookie dough milkshake recipe!!

  135. This! This-this-this!!! I need it!!!

  136. Amanda N says:

Awesome blender! I would totally make this milkshake!

  137. These blenders looked amazing in Austin!!! I would love to devour one of these milkshakes right NOW! I know this blender would be awesome for my never ending fruit smoothie cravings!

    • This prompted me to go look for the smoothie book I bought, but never used. No blender – thing burned out. When I found that book, I also came across the book on ice cream and other frozen goodies. I’m sure going to give this Ninja a real workout!

  138. I’m not sure what I want more, Ryan Gosling or this milkshake. Can I have both?? (I totally recognize that your post had nothing to do with Ryan Gosling, but you can’t really just dangle his name out there and not have me be distracted.) Looks delicious, Hayley!! (The milkshake . . . well, and Ryan Gosling.)

  139. Dorin Campbell says:

I’d make nut butters, pizza dough, smoothies and whatever else my three year old and I can think of! Woo!

  140. I would make smoothies

  141. I desperately want to try this! Have a feeling it would be awesome for almond milk :)

  142. Kaelynn says:

I would definitely make smoothies and my morning pre & post run shakes! (: I really would put the Ninja to great use!!

  143. A Malt with tons of malt powder and fresh strawberries.

  144. Aliesha Rivera says:

You, my dear, are a genius! The first thing I would make with this blender would be either a cakebatter shake or red velvet shake…because cake should never be left out of anything, and fruit just gets in the way ;)

  145. Triston says:

I would seriously make this machine my smoothie-slave. I love nothing more than Booster Juice but their prices are just so expensive…

  146. That milkshake looks wonderful. I would make smoothie probably first though milkshakes are my downfall so I’m sure it wouldn’t be far behind.

  147. HOLY COW!

  148. I could do all sorts of crazy with this system! We currently are mixer less, which is a problem since I try making all sorts of goodies each week. Maybe once I’m good at it, I can post recipes like you! I would make milkshakes first, my favorite is from leftover cupcakes, frosting and all! It makes delicious cake flavored shakes. Definitely best to use cupcakes that are starting to stiffen. (:

  149. If I win this system I can make this shake. I don’t have a blender currently

  150. Betty Blumer says:

I’d make milkshakes and smoothies and all kinds of goodies!!!

  151. SO amazing! I need to get my hands on one of those babies!

  152. Smoothies!!!!

  153. Mmmmm, this milkshake sounds so sinfully delicious!!! I could devour one of these this second!! My sister has this Ninja set, and loves it!! Great giveaway girl!

  154. Kristie says:

I would use it to start a food blog so that I could open up a shop

  155. leeshka says:

I’d make insane chai milkshakes. Fact.

  156. What would I make? Oh man, what wouldn’t I make?! I have a rinky-dink blender that can hardly make smoothies without random chunks of ice. I do believe my first order of business would be this delicious cookie dough milkshake though!

  157. I would make soooo many smoothies!!

  158. Shirley Hayer says:

I was intrigued by the Ninja informercial (as I’m in the market for a blender / juicer / food processor), but it’s so nice to hear a food blogger actually use it and write about it! Please include me in the give-a-way!!!
Then there’s the Cookie Dough Milkshake recipe… Oh. my. God. Can’t wait to indulge my sweet tooth with this confection of deliciousness!!!

  159. maureen says:

    Gazpacho soup and shakes.

  160. I really hope I win! I love the Ninja and mine just broke :(

  172. Definitely your milkshake. :) It really does look amazing. Thanks for a great giveaway.

  173. There are so many things I would make with the Ninja, but I definitely have to think the cookie dough milkshakes gotta go first. That thing looks delicious and I could use one after the hell of a month I’ve had and endured.

But next would be a strawberry banana smoothie. My absolute favorite! And the strawberries are perfect right now down in sunny So Cal!

Cannot wait to try this with my new NINJA!!!

  184. OMG I need this!! My old $18 blender that I bought like 6 years ago has this awful burning smell when I use it… plus, it sucks. I mean, I can’t even get a decent margarita out of that thing. PLUSSSS I have been eyeing the Ninja Kitchen system for way too long, but with getting a new apartment comes maxed-out credit cards and a bank account with a $0 balance. I want it!! And then I want this milkshake. ASAP.

  185. tina larson says:

I would make soup and ice cream

  186. Michele Rose says:

  189. What WOULDN’T I make with this? But first thing might be freezer jam… I have been for real craving some homemade blackberry jam lately. I’m sure the Ninja could take care of all the mashing and mixing for me!

  190. I would love to make one of those delicious looking milkshakes!! Yummy!

  191. Cynthia says:

I just had one sitting on my kitchen counter a few days ago and it and I agreed that someday one of it’s cousins would have to come live with me. My neighbor has one of these dreams on earth and she does not never – ever cook, so I borrow it. So the Ninja and I agreed it could come over when ever it wanted to ( still got to talk to my neighbor about that part tho).
All fun aside the Ninja system is what every kitchen needs that does a lot of cooking or even a little cooking. It can do everything. So my fingers and toes and anything else I can cross is crossed. That handsome hunk can live at my house forever – but he will work hard for his keep.

  192. Um, I would make pesto since it summer and I have a ton of basil. Then followed shortly by a milkshake.

  193. Ronda Morhaime says:

Love the give away opportunity…and the shake is too good to be true…Tomatoes almost ripe time to make salsa with this new Ninja.

  194. I love the idea of using a blender to make cookie dough. I love to bake so I think I would use it to make a sugar cookie or snicker doodle dough.

  195. I would go absolutely crazy making any and everything! There would never be a dull moment in my kitchen again.
