Happy Friday, my little goblins!!
Halloween is less than two weeks away but it’s about time you get yourself prepared, methinks. No one likes huge holidays to creep up on them like lurkers in the shadows, am I right? And I’m assuming you all are vastly cooler than myself and have like, tons of really cool Halloween parties to go to.
Notice I said ‘parties’, plural, because I am not even cool enough to be invited to a single party, much less multiple parties, which is ironic because this year, I actually had creative costumes in mind. Also, a lack of friends but that’s neither here nor there, folks.
Anyway, with your calender booked full of spooky Halloween festivities, I thought I’d make my Spooktacular Halloween Roundup early–giving you plenty of time to cook up some creepy treats for your kiddos, coworkers, neighbors, friends, or that superfreakingawesome bash you’re throwing you haven’t invited me to yet (are you mad at me or something?? I’ve been checking my inbox obsessively and it’s so weird but I haven’t seen anything yet.)
For those who prefer celebrating more “traditionally”, stick with pumpkin. It’s crowd-pleasing, uber-delicious, and still festive for the season. Try:
Skinny Pumpkin Pie Dip
Rolo Pretzel Pumpkin Bites
Pumpkin Pie Pops
Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars
Skeletons are notorious Halloween party-crashers. Celebrate them in style with some seriously sweet treats.
Spooky Skeleton Cupcakes
Mexican Mocha Cupcakes with Kahlua Frosting
Spooky Graveyard Brownie Cakes
Wickedly Devilish Desserts
When it comes to odds & ends, there’s always something to please someone. Whether it’s giving PB cups a ghostly twist, putting a smile on your favorite zombie-lover’s face, or making a surprisingly elegant cake, these treats will please everyone!
Halloween Bundt Cake
Reese’s Peanut Butter Ghosts
Fall Harvest Munch
The most rewarding part of Halloween isn’t the creepiest costume, but rather, the surplus of SUGAR. Recreating classic candy favorites at home or stuffing them into basics switches things up.
Homemade Nutty Bars
Chocolate Peanut Butter 7-Layer Bars
Monster Munch Popcorn Balls
As a kid, I used to say ‘bite me’ as an insult. Now I’m taking it very, very seriously. These infamous fangs are made of sugar which makes their bite extra sweet. Pick your poison!
Toothy Vampire Cupcakes
Ding Dong Bat Pops
Silly Vampire Truffles
HOLY MOLY, GUYS. I totally didn’t realize I had SO many Halloween goodies lurking on my computer. If you were previously stumped on what to bring into work or send Timmy to school with, hopefully this enormous roundup will get your dessert wheels turning 🙂 if not give you a cavity through your computer screen but whatevz.
Despite all my ghoulish baking, there were still some Halloween recipes on the interwebs I just had to share with you!
Halloween Marshmallow Pops from I Wash, You Dry
Toothy Monster Cupcakes from Bird On A Cake
Caramel Apple Chewies from Jazzy Gourmet Blog
Pumpkin Pie Rice Krispies from Sally’s Baking Addiction
Eyeball Red Velvet Pudding Pie from Crazy For Crust
Candy Corn Bark from Cooking With K
Little Vampire Cake Pops from Pint Sized Baker
Tricky Trash Candy from Shugary Sweets
Candy Apple Popcorn Balls from Country Cleaver
Spooky Worm and Spider Nests from A Spicy Perspective
Mummy Twinkie Pops from Confessions of a Cookbook Queen
Oreo Spider Cake from Cookies and Cups
Chocolate Pumpkin Spider Donuts from BruCrew Life
Monster Munch from Eat-Drink-Love
Duuude. And if you still don’t know what to make, I’m afraid it’s time you go lie down in a dark room and cry for awhile, because after all this insane creativity and these wonderful ideas, if you’re not inspired you’re probably inhuman.
That does it for this roundup. If you’re doing any fun Halloween baking for parties (or uh, want to invite one more lonely partier), send me some pictures on my Facebook, or Twitter; I’d love to see them!
Have a great weekend!
