Hand pies have been on my baking list forever! I love that you used nutella and marshmallows…so yummo!!! I am all for shopping at Goodwill and vigorously cleaning said items, but to take a syrup packet from someone else’s trash…eeewwww on so many levels!

In reply to Back For Seconds. Oh my gawd, library books FREAK.ME.OUT. So germy! And they like, NEVER change those plastic covers over the original book cover so they get all grimy and dingy SUPER fast... ugh. I imagine the grossest people with dirty fingers touching the books and ewwww I am shuddering at the thought! Thank god for disinfectant wipes!

I could totally do this! I have all the stuff except Nutella. I may have to try. As for the syrup: Honey, I say this with the most love and respect I have: You are thinking too much. Surprisingly even what you consider the cleanest thing in the world – still has germs. Surgeons who perform surgery but scrub up and double gown and glove first? Yep, still germs. As Americans we often expect perfection in everything – including Zero Tolerance for germs. Can’t be done. Even a “sterile” environment has a certain acceptable amount of them floating around on their surfaces. But, if it freaks you out – I would never recommend you go dumpster diving or anything. 🙂
