Well hello again. Fancy meeting you here.
Another week, can you believe? I’m convinced we live in another dimension or parallel super-fast universe or something.
Anyway, I leave for the city tomorrow because Jessie and I are celebrating our one year anniversary! Yay!
I’m seriously so excited. I used to think celebrating yearly anniversaries kinda seemed goofy, and honestly, it is. But if you know me and Jessie, you know we’re seriously goofy. Like, majorly goofy. Like, we are the goofiest people around. Ever. So it works.
Plus, I can’t believe a whole year has passed. It’s amazing I didn’t scare him away what with the fact that I constantly ask for his opinion on outfits to which he dutifully offers his input and pretends not to be bored… or the fact that I talk to animals and make up weird voices for them and squeal “Oh baby!!” whenever I see a particularly cute dog and proceed to make up a name for it… or the fact that he will willingly share “our time” watching Real Housewives shows with me.
I mean, ’nuff said. I’m a crazy girl, and he puts up with every single minute of it. 366(!!) days of it. So far
And a lot has happened within a year, so basically, our anniversary begged for a fun, relaxing, mindless vacation, and we picked San Francisco as our place to veg on really good pizza, drink yummy cocktails and frolic about the city with our cameras. I can’t wait!!
I better go pack (we all know that’s a saga in itself), but before I do, here’s a recap of what I made last week (while I was sick, too!! I even thought of you all while I was hacking away with bacterial bronchitis. But don’t worry–I was no longer contagious and washed my hands so I’m 90% sure no one was infected).
First, I confessed to you that I’m not a red velvet fan, yet I made my favorite red velvet fans out there some Green Velvet Cookies –topped with Lucky Charms, of course.
Summer’s rearing its nasty, sweaty head here in Sacramento and if you’re like me, you have also received multiple swim catalogs in the mail. Don’t get down on yourself–not all of us can afford VS swimsuits, but we can afford a VS model body with my super easy, all-natural diet plan!! And fudge, of course!
These are one of my family’s favorite bars and, I have to say, they make me pretty happy, too. They work especially well in shutting me and my complaining up after a particularly long day.
I think rainbows are amazing.
And I think it’s perfectly natural to want to swan dive into a bowl of this bubblegum ice cream. It’s heavenly. Thank god I have another bowl’s-worth to scarf down to help me pack. It’s energy food.
I hope you all have a relaxing, wonderful weekend filled with smiles and laughter and rainbow truffles. I can’t wait to tell you about my anniversary trip to the city!
